AT LEAST SMITH DEFENDS CANADA

Americans are seeing Alberta Premier Danielle Smith on network television in the United States, and they are seeing a leader who they are now thinking is Canada’s Margaret Thatcher.

Smith, who is garnering respect from Americans, is using her previous television and talk radio experience to professionally advocate for Canada. Smith expertly uses her knowledge of the American perspective to position Canada in the best light, to convince Americans generally that it is in their best interests to support Canada’s position.

Thank goodness we had Smith working during her Christmas holidays to defend Canada at a time when our prime minister was off on one of his many vacations, skiing in B.C. Undependable Justin Trudeau, again, is completely missing in action.

TO MAKE A BETTER WORLD …

Re: Helpful hints for a better world, editorial, Dec. 31

My helpful hint for a better world would be to stop teaching our youth the resentful, racist and reactionary “progressive” ideology that turns the complexity of human history and geopolitics into a simple, binary Disney cartoon for easy consumption and indoctrination.

Gen Z have been hoodwinked big time and I hope the recent “vibe shift” in our culture can rescue it from the tribal truths it has been infected with.

We are at a moment in history that demands we defend western values from the internal and external multiple enemies we face in Canada who are working to sow chaos and division to undermine and destroy our peaceful way of life.

HE’S NO SAVIOUR

A friend is adamant that Justin Trudeau has a “God complex” because he was born on Christmas Day.

I agree that the prime minister sees himself as the saviour of all mankind (or, as nauseatingly woke liberals might say, “the saviour of all personkind”).

In actuality, Trudeau won’t even be able to save himself in the next election.

Bring it on.
