Test cricket LIVE updates: Australia all out for 440 as Mooney makes MCG ton; Aussie men chase wickets in Galle

In a massive blow for cricket writers hoping for a three-day Test, Ellyse Perry has come to the crease at No.10. Perry was initially listed to bat at No.3, but hurt her hip in a fielding mishap on Thursday.
Though Cricket Australia had said Perry would bat if required, it is a surprise the superstar has padded up given the home side’s stranglehold on the game.

Perry was given a rousing ovation by the MCG crowd as she came out to bat after Alana King’s departure.
The sight of Perry batting will be demoralising for England, who are in a hopeless position but have made a strong start to the day with three wickets in the first 40 minutes.
Perry sits second for the most Test runs made by an Australian woman, and boasts an average of 61.86.
