Brisbane have scored another relatively simple try in the middle of the field. Linsday Collins and Siua Wong were dragged out of formation by Pat Carrigan who slipped a pass who Jack Gosiewski who did the rest from close range. A note defensive guru, Roosters coach Trent Robinson should be pretty worried right now. Broncos lead 18-4 after 26 minutes

Alarm bells for Roosters
Haas too good; Radley done for the night
Payne Haas made that look pretty easy. The Roosters middle defence were found badly wanting as Haas slipped a ball for hooker Corey Paix who scored an easy try. To make matter worse for the home side, Victor Radley has been ruled out of the match after suffering a bad concussion. Broncos lead 12-4 after 20 minutes

Brisbane reply with try of their own
Gehamat Shibasaki scores for Brisbane. On the back of a charge from Payne Haas, the Broncos spread to their left and Jesse Arthurs throws the final pass. Broncos lead 6-4 after 15 minutes
Fears for Radley
Roosters back-rower Victor Radley was left motionless on the ground after an accidental head clash with teammate James Tedesco. Radley was left lying face first on the ground. He needed plenty of help to keep him steady as he left the field. Another very concerning moment for a player with a history of concussions. Roosters lead 4-0 after 14 minutes

Roosters score first
Roosters debutant Robert Toia just made new Bronco Ben Hunt look ordinary in defence. Toia had room, but Hunt should have done a lot better there. Toia did the hard work and Dom Young finished out wide. Dream start for Trent Robinson’s men. Roosters 4-0 after 8 minutes

Roosters settle down
The Roosters were able to deal with the early attacking raid from Brisbane. Since then, they’ve given as good as they’ve received. Reports from the ground suggest the Broncos were none-too-pleased with the condition of the Allianz Stadium playing surface. There was some heavy rain during the warm-ups.
One tackle, one error
What did we just say about Lindsay Collins. Off the kick-off, the Roosters prop got smashed, and lost the ball. Terrible first 20 seconds for the Tricolours.
