Man to face court over stalking, choking and stabbing DV offences

A western Sydney man has been charged with six domestic violence offences after allegedly stalking, choking and stabbing a woman in the back.

After responding to reports of a domestic violence incident in Cabramatta on Friday night, Fairfield police arrived at the Mallee Street home to find a 34-year-old woman with a stab wound in her back.

Paramedics treated her on the scene before taking her to Liverpool Hospital. She is in a stable condition.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man and took him to Fairfield Police Station, where he was charged with six offences including reckless wounding, two counts of stalking and intimidation, choking without consent, and destruction of property.
